Rise on Ice is hosting an online webinar on Wednesday, 6/25, from 8-9 PM EST. Join us to learn about balancing school and skating from 5 qualified speakers. A Q&A will be hosted at the end, as we will accept questions asked throughout the webinar.

Speakers:
Emily Zhu
Emily Zhu started skating at age 6. She has done synchronized skating for 11 years, with her past two seasons on DC Edge Junior. She has also competed in the solo dance series and is the co-founder of the Rise on Ice nonprofit. Emily will be attending Stanford University in the coming fall and plans to participate in collegiate club skating.
Arya Chinnaswamy
Arya started skating at age 4 and has participated in synchronized skating for 8 years. She has competed at many international competitions, her favorite being in Rouen, France. Arya will be attending UC Berkeley next fall and plans to compete on their figure skating team and participate in solo dance.
Minoli Desilva
Minoli started skating at age 6 and has done synchronized skating for the 10 years. She has skated on the DC EDGE junior team for 4 years and has competed at numerous international competitions. Minoli will be attending the University of Maryland in the fall and plans to compete in solo ice dance at the collegiate level.
Sophia Liu
Sophia has been skating for 12 years and is a quadruple gold medalist. She has skated on DC EDGE for the past 9 years, earning national and international medals. She’s also competed in solo dance for 4 years, qualifying for nationals twice. Sophia will be attending Cornell University and hopes to compete on their intercollegiate figure skating team.
Grace Ding
Grace has been figure skating for 10 years. After spending 6 years competing nationally with DC EDGE, she pivoted to rowing for her school's crew team, where she also became a national-level competitor. She continues to skate independently and serves as head coach for Special Olympics Maryland's figure skating team. Grace will study computer science at Princeton University this fall, where she plans to continue pursuing club athletics.
