Delaney Darnes

Delaney Darnes is a student at North Point High School. She has been skating since she was 3 years old and currently skates on the DC EDGE junior line. She has been on Team USA for the past 2 years and has competes overseas in France and Hungary.

Eliza Yu

Website Manager

Eliza is a student at Germantown Academy. She competed in synchronized skating for 7 years and is currently working on novice moves in the field. She has been skating for 10 years and is looking forward to skating for many years to come.

Claire Hong

Co-President

Claire is a student at Winston Churchill High School. She started skating at the age of 7 and did singles at first. However, after two years, she joined synchronized skating and has been doing it ever since. For the past two years, she was on the junior team and is looking forward to more seasons to come.

Olivia Yao

Treasurer

Olivia Yao is a student at Poolesville High School. She started skating at six years old and has competed in synchronized skating for 9 years. She now skates individually and is a member of the Washington Figure Skating Club Junior Board.

College Advisors

Angie went to Winston Churchill High School and graduated in 2024. She competed synchronized skating at the junior level. She has been skating for 10 years and has represented Team USA in various competitions in England and France. She cofounded Rise on Ice to give back to the skating community.

Tina Li went to Walter Johnson High School. She competed in synchronized skating at the Junior level and in shadow dance at the Gold-International level. She has represented Team USA in Switzerland, England, and France and placed 1st in the 2023 Britannia Cup.

Emily Zhu

Co-Founder, Advisor

Stanford University, Class of 2029

Emily Zhu went to Winston Churchill High School. She started skating at age 6. She participated in Junior level synchronized skating competitions. She has competed nationally and represented Team USA at international competitions. She has won numerous medals at the National Solo Dance Series and Nationals Synchronized Skating Championships. She grew up in the skating community and cofounded Rise On Ice to contribute back.

Arya Chinnaswamy

Advisor

UC Berkeley, Class of 2029

Arya Chinnaswamy went to Winston Churchill High School and started skating at age 4. She competed for synchronized skating on a Junior level team. She has earned many medals through synchronized skating and freestyle competitions, her most memorable being placing 4th in the 2020 Synchronized Skating National Championships. She values her skating community and aims to make it more inclusive and accessible for all skaters.

Grace Ding

Princeton University, Class of 2029

Grace Ding went to Holton-Arms School. She placed 4th at the 2020 Synchronized Skating National Championships and also skates individually. She is a dual athlete, rowing crew in the spring and figure skating year-round.

Esther Yi

Esther went to Poolesville High School. Ever since she started skating at age six, she has been doing ice dance and synchronized skating. She competed on a Novice team and is a bronze and pewter medalist at Nationals.

Sophia Liu

Sophia went to Poolesville High School. She has been skating for 10 years, and her favorite skating move is a double salchow! She competed for Team USA in synchronized skating.
